Aside from avoiding pesticides and herbicides, organic food is more nutrient dense. It contains higher amounts of vitamins and minerals.
FoodBabe- cute name ;-) has done tons of good research on this, so I will defer to her. You can see in her chart below that her claims of what the pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics and other drugs cause are scary sounding and you might choose to think that they are inflated, but they are not! There are so many studies and lawsuits that we the public don’t hear about.
These chemicals have been clinically proven to alter gene expression thereby causing disease and the obviously a lack of longevity!
Glyphosate, one of the most talked about pesticides used today is an antibiotic. It literally goes into your gut and kills all of the bacteria and alters the DNA in the bacteria. That bacteria is what keep you healthy physically and emotionally.
According to Dr. Stephanie Seneff, a senior research scientist at MIT, glyphosate is largely responsible for the escalating incidence of autoimmune and other neurological disorders that we are experiencing.
In 2020 the number of filed and un-filed glyphosate safety claims against Bayer, the maker of glyphosate, reached more than 125,000.Bayer committed about $11 billion to settle the U.S. lawsuits.
